Along the way

2003 production

“To be an adult is to pretend not to be a child any more ». When adulthood arrives, this vital space is very cluttered by our own choices and the ones others wish to impose on us. In this context, how is it possible to grow and construct oneself?

A dance comic strip

« There was an audience of 500 children watching Eric Languet’s latest piece yesterday. They laughed a lot at the start, they thought for a while and at the end, they asked themselves all sorts of questions. The uninterrupted metamorphosis from childhood to adulthood took place on stage, to the sound of laughter, marvels and all the other astonishments of children who found the 40 mn show too short.” Pana Reeve, Le Journal de l'île. March 27, 2004

From childhood to adulthood

« We did not seek to overprotect the children. We kept the company style. This piece is entirely autonomous so that we can perform it in various places; settle down outside or inside a theatre. We are looking for an audience that is not used to going to the theatre. For this reason, the set is progressively brought in by the two characters that pull it out of their gigantic dungarees.” Eric Languet, in an interview by Delphine Poudroux, Le Quotidien.
