As its title does not indicate it,
8 days around the world with Mrs Lebowski approaches by the means of derision, the stereotypes of artistic collaborations with african countries. For this piece, company Danses en l'R and the Fouzulus from Mozambique made of their meeting the very subject of the creative process. This delirious, iconoclast choreography deals with the subjects of guilt, european politics in africa, and hustles some stereotypes about african dancers. 8 days around the world with Mrs Lebowski is a funny dance-theatre piece on topics which are less funny.
As for the title, it does reflect the lack of serious of all this, if one, of course does not take laughter for a serious activity.
